Step 3
Front part
Attach the yarn where your corner is above 1st dc of inc
1 – 10 rows of the front part = 1 – 10 rows of the back part.
Step 4
Join back and front parts together
Work with the yarn of the back part and continue crocheting the 11th row of the front part just like 11th row of the back part. That way you join the two pieces from one side.
At the end of the 11th row (front part), work sl.st.1
Step 5
Body
1st round – ch3, dc1 between 2 inc., ch2, (inc1 into inc, ch2) x 3, dc2 between trcs, ch2, [(inc1 into inc, ch2) x 7, dc2 between trcs, ch2] x 2, (inc1 into inc, ch2) x 3, dc2 between 2 inc, ch2, (inc1 into inc, ch2) x 3, dc2 between trcs, ch2, [(inc1 into inc, ch2) x 7, dc2 between trcs, ch2] x 2, (inc1 into inc, ch2) x 3 + sl.st.1
Use a smaller size crochet hook
2nd round – ch3, dc1 into inc, ch2, [inc1 into inc, ch2] to end + sl.st.1
3rd and all other rounds work as 2nd round until you crochet to about your waist line. Then crochet other rounds as 2nd round until you reach the desired length of the blouse, using a larger size crochet hook.
One round before the very last round, work similar to the 2nd round, but work dc2 instead of ch2 or
- ch3, dc1 into inc, dc2, [inc1 into inc, dc2] to end + sl.st.1
Work sc to end for the very last round.
Step 6
Edges
Sc to end around your armholes and neckline using a smaller size crochet hook.

how do you change direction for an xl size

Hi sabrinamarie909,
Hi sabrinamarie909,
For the xl size, I would work the pattern the same way to step 4, and then add chains/repeats under arms while joining back and front parts together.
For that (step 4), work 10 chs, then continue crocheting the 11th row of the front part. At the end of the 11th row (front part), ch10 also, and then work sl.st.1.
1st round (step 5) – ch3, dc1 into inc., ch2, (inc1 into inc, ch2) x 3, dc2 between trcs, ch2, [(inc1 into inc, ch2) x 7, dc2 between trcs, ch2] x 2, (inc1 into inc, ch2) x 4, (sk2, dc2, ch2) x 2, sk2, (inc1 into inc, ch2) x 4, dc2 between trcs, ch2, [(inc1 into inc, ch2) x 7, dc2 between trcs, ch2] x 2, (inc1 into inc, ch2) x 4, (sk2, dc2, ch2) x 2, sk2 + sl.st.1.
Happy crochet!

I also love this top and wondering if there is a stitch count for someone who wears a 3x or has a size 52" bust

I would work the pattern
I would work the pattern using a larger size crochet hook to adjust the gauge. In addition, I'd add one more pineapple to each front and back parts. Work the step 1 totally the same way as I did.
Step 2
1st row (right side) – ch3, dc1, sk1, inc1, ch2, sk1, Vst1, ch2, sk1, inc1, [ch3, sk2, sc1, (ch3, sk1, sc1) x 3, ch3, sk2, inc1, ch2, sk1, Vst1, ch2, sk1, inc1] times three/to end; sk1, dc2 + RC3
After that follow the pattern exactly. Happy crochet!
